Win95 WINDOWS

The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office for Windows, version 7.0
- Microsoft Schedule+ for Windows, version 7.0

SYMPTOMS

When you print a Schedule+ file, the following error message may appear:
The print operation could not be completed. Cannot print because there are not valid .FMT files available.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when the following conditions are met:

- You perform a Compact installation of Microsoft Office for Windows 95. -and-

- You start Schedule+ and click Print on the File menu.

This behavior occurs because a Compact installation does not install the .fmt files that Schedule+ requires in order to print. This behavior is by design of the Office Setup program.

MORE INFORMATION

The following .fmt files are installed when you perform a Complete installation of Microsoft Office:
Msoffice\Schedule\Av41206.fmt
Av41256.fmt
Av41307.fmt
Av41357.fmt
Avl7901.fmt
Avl7902.fmt
Dyno106.fmt
Normal.fmt
These files, which are necessary for printing, are also installed by Microsoft Exchange. In order to conserve disk space, Schedule+ uses the files installed by Exchange when you perform a Compact installation.
